Regulars bypass the branded tourist counters for this unassuming open-air stall steps from the Thong Lo BTS station. The draw is classic khao niao mamuang done without shortcuts or colored rice. Sliced-to-order mango mounds over soft, fragrant glutinous grains, doused in thick coconut cream spiked with just enough salt to temper the sugar. The friendly owner packs generous portions—ranging up to hefty large and extra-large trays—at uninflated street prices, served directly to shared tables alongside the alley.

    Maes is a bit more boojee and always has a queue and they give a small scoop of pandan rice and another of regular sticky rice - whereas here at Nings i got substantially more rice and also more mango, for around the same price.
