About Havana Social

Step into a vintage telephone booth off Sukhumvit, punch in the entry code, and emerge straight into pre-revolution Havana. Nightlife regulars head to this two-story ronería for its raw Latin momentum—live salsa bands, DJs dropping bachata, and packed floors moving without restraint. Behind the busy bar counter, bartenders shake rum-heavy cocktails like the Plato o Plomo, poured tableside from a mystery box. When the main floor swells towards midnight, head up to the second-floor library and cigar lounge for a slower pour and hand-rolled tobacco away from the crush. Dress sharp—the door checks attire, and a 400-baht cover kicks in after 7 PM.

  • Hidden Phone Booth Entrance: Guests dial a secret keypad inside a vintage phone booth tucked in an alley off Sukhumvit to unlock the entrance.
  • Upstairs Cigar Lounge: The second floor features a library bar and dedicated smoking room for hand-rolled cigars and aged spirits.
  • Free Sunday Salsa Classes: Patrons pick up basic steps during complimentary Sunday salsa workshops before the social dance floor opens up.
  • House Rules & Cover: Enforces a strict dress code and a 400-baht cover charge after 7 PM on peak party nights.

Before you head over

Practical advice on finding the entrance, beating the crowds, and navigating venue policies

  • Finding the Secret Phone Booth Entrance

The entrance is concealed behind a vintage telephone booth in an alley without prominent street signage. You will need to enter a keypad code to enter, which can be acquired by calling ahead or asking the attendant stationed outside.

  • Arrive Early to Beat the Queues and Cover Fee

Arrive earlier in the evening or between 10:00 PM and 11:00 PM to avoid entrance queues and cover charges that take effect later in the night. Later hours often bring packed crowds and longer door waits.

  • Mind the Dress Code and Stair-Only Access

Expect an enforced dress code when visiting, and be prepared for limited physical accessibility, as navigating between the ground floor, upper cigar lounge, and restrooms involves stairs without elevator service.
